The cold, because of the low participation in the primary from the left ? This is what was suggested by Christophe Borgel, president of the national organization Committee of the primary, since the headquarters of the socialist Party, on January 22. “there has still been a world in the voting booths of the elementary school during a morning where the temperature was more than fleece“, he declared. And obviously, it is not the only socialist Party to complain about the weather. On LCI, the end of the morning this Sunday, Jean-Christophe Cambadélis, the First secretary of the PS, explained that he was “a little cold. People take the time to come to vote”.

in The middle of the day in this first round of the primary to the left, about 400.000 voters moved in the in 7,500 polling stations open between 9h and 19h, on Sunday 22 January. A participation which had more than doubled to 17: 30, with the one-million mark has been crossed, according to the figures identified in 70 % of polling stations. But the member of parliament for the Haute-Garonne, remained optimistic, saying that the figures reflected the “path expected” : finish “between 1.5 million and 2 million voters”, to the closing of the polls, to 19 hours.

The small exit of Christophe Borgel, however, is not gone unnoticed. On Twitter in particular, the number of internet users have mocked the statements of the deputy of Haute-Garonne.
