PRESIDENTIAL Candidacy of the Netherlands: 10 December, “the good date” – The Dauphiné Libéré

François Hollande will he be a candidate for a new presidential term ? Guest of Public Sénat, on Tuesday evening, the boss of the senators of the socialist Didier Guillaume recalled, in any case, the timing.

Asked about a possible nomination of Manuel Valls, the senator of the Drôme, has indicated that his first choice was always François Hollande: “the president of the Republic has said that he would give his answer on 10 December. If he is the candidate, I will support.”

If the Elysée palace has not reacted to this information, however, we do know that François Hollande must, in any case, declare that before the 15th of December, which is the deadline for the submission of applications to the primary of the left…

Date “credible”

Interviewed by the AFP, close to the head of the State considered the date of December 10, “credible”, the decision of François Hollande on his nomination to “intervene logically after the national convention of the PS in the 3 December and a bit before the deadline of 15 so as to enable him, if necessary, to meet formally with the sponsorships necessary.”

Parasitized by Emmanuel Macron

The 10th of December is the ideal date ? Not sure… The declaration of candidacy of François Hollande, could be plagued by… Emmanuel Macron. The former minister of the Economy, that part alone in the race to the Elysée palace, is expected to hold a mass meeting on that day. It will take place at the Porte de Versailles.

Denial of The Foll

The date of 10 December, however, was denied Wednesday morning by the minister of Agriculture, very close to François Hollande. Stéphane Le Foll, guest of BFM and RMC, said: “This is not the correct date. I have no doubt of his nomination.”
