Nearly 60% of Scots in favor of independence – Challenges.fr

LONDON (Reuters) – Nearly 60% of Scots are now in favor of Scottish independence, shows a poll released Saturday by a newspaper, two days after the British have chosen an output of the European Union.

According to the Sunday Post, 59% of respondents in this survey are for an independent Scotland in the UK.

during the referendum in 2014, the vote in favor of an independent Scotland had received only 45% of the vote, which had resulted in a continuation of the country in the UK.

the Scottish Government is preparing to introduce legislation authorizing the holding of a second referendum on the independence of Scotland and would begin as soon as discussions on its place within the European Union, said earlier in the day the First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.

on Thursday referendum on the future of Britain in the European Union, the only Scotland voted by 62% for and 38% against, for maintenance in the European Union.

But in the whole country, the vote in favor of EU output won 52% votes against 48%.
