The aim is to correct an early wear of flexible risk of carrying the brake fluid, “preventive” said the manufacturer.

(Boursier.com) – Renault said Thursday it has launched early 2016 a recall on 10,649 electric Zoe. The aim is to correct an early wear of risk of a flexible carrying brake fluid. “As a precaution, the intervention consists in controlling the positioning of the wheel arch shields before, and the replacement of the brake hoses (…) in bad position,” said a spokesman the group, noting that no accidents had been reported to date because of the default.

the affected vehicles were manufactured between 2012, the year launch vehicle, and October 6, 2014. Renault produced last year 19,115 Zoe in its Flins plant near Paris, and 42,300 vehicles in total since the launch of the model. The automaker said that the procedure, which is intended to prevent chafing of the hose is offered to the customer and lasts up to four hours and a half if the parts must be replaced.
