After the announced abandonment, the company called its drivers to “immediate recovery” work. The government has followed suit, saying it had now “stop motion” . But the drivers reserved their response Thursday.

However, a return to normal immediately seems unlikely at airports, where half of Air France planes are grounded. “We will not lift the notice [strike] while negotiations have not been concluded,” , warned William Schmid, spokesman for the National Union of Pilots (SNPL) majority.

Almost half of the flights (47%) should be provided Thursday by the company which puts the cost of the strike at 15 to 20 million per day . The rate of pilot strike is estimated at 62% for Thursday against 52% Wednesday.

The company still recommends that customers who booked a flight from here to September 30, to postpone their trip or change their ticket free. The SNPL extended its strike notice to date
